Shelley brings to our practice over 30 years of customer service experience, strong work ethic and a life-long love for all animals, big or small. Prior to joining our team, Shelley worked in an animal shelter and cared for those in the most need. After a few months of shelter experience, Shelley wanted to learn more about the Veterinary field so she enrolled in and Graduated from the Veterinary Assistant course through Ashworth College. 

Shelley resides in the Brockville area with her 4 feral cats (the last of 35 she took under her wing 11 years ago), and proudly smiles when neighbours call her the 'Crazy Cat Lady'. Her favourite things about working at Island City are meeting and talking to the clients by phone or in person, learning new things daily, but most of all she loves seeing pets on the mend returning home to their loving families. She thinks cuddling, petting and meeting your fur babies is pretty great too!
